How To Clean Your Video Game Disc

Cleaning a Game Disc
Fingerprints, smudges, and other foreign material can interfere with a game disc being properly read by the gaming console. Please use the information on this page to properly clean a dirty Game Disc.
Important Notes (please read first):
Use only: straight strokes when wiping the disc (do not use a circular motion).
Use only: a clean, soft, cotton cloth (do not use paper towels, facial tissue, etc.).
Use only: water (do not use soap or any other cleaning solution).
Do NOT use: solvents such as: benzine, window cleaner, paint thinner, anti-static aerosol spray or abrasive cleaners.
Do NOT use: machines designed to clean discs or remove scratches. These types of devices could damage the surface of the disc.
Properly cleaning a game disc:
Dampen a portion of a clean, soft, cotton cloth, using only plain water.
With the damp part of the cloth, use straight strokes and wipe the bottom of the disc (non-labeled side) from the inside rim to the outside rim.
Using a dry part of the cloth, use straight strokes and wipe from the inside rim to the outside rim.
After all of the water has been removed, let the disc sit for at least two minutes to completely dry before inserting it into the gaming console.
Try to play the game to see if the problem has been resolved.
If the problem has been resolved, be sure to properly take care of your game discs by storing them in their plastic cases in order to help prevent your discs from becoming dirty or scratched. Storing games in cases other than the ones they came in, or storing them outside their cases, may damage the disc.
If the same problem continues, the cause is likely damage to the disc.

Dogs are funny ! I sometimes feel like I should have a video camera on all day recording what my dog does. I know everyone who has a pet also probably has a funny story to tell; Well here's my latest one. My lab reminds me 2 times a day that its time to eat. The funny part is how she does the reminding. I have one of those stainless steel food bowls, when she gets hungry she walks over to told bowl and puts her 2 front paws in it , since it’s stainless steel it makes a loud popping (POP) noise. If I don't get up and feed her right away or I try to ignore her cry for food, her standing on the food bowl escalates to walking on it so now it’s a LOUD POP, POP. Ignoring her further now escalates to running and jumping on the food bowl and thrashing it around the house, sounds like this CLANG, BANG, CLANG, POP, POP, CLAG; By this time any work I might be trying to accomplish or urgent business phone conference typically comes to a screeching halt and she gets her way. Now that she has eaten I figure I can get my work done; but NOOOOOOO!! Now it's CLANG, CLANG, POP, POP, BANG, BANG...It's time to go to the BATHROOM !!! Time to smell all the bushes, blades of grass, trees, dirt, concrete and whatever smell is floating in the air. Whew, finally done, right. I can now my work done, oh but no its play time.......and so the story goes. Let us know what you think and any funny stories you may have I would love to read. Oh she's a great dog when she sleeps !
